Our electrical team recently worked with KIA UK Limited to install a new state of the art 300KW electric vehicle charger and 10 twin 22KW electric vehicle chargers. 

The plan of works included the groundworks in an active 200 space car park for the installation of cable ducting, concrete bases and electrical feeder pillars allowing for future expansion of the electric vehicle charging system.

Throughout the installation temporary generators were set up to supply KIA HQ with uninterrupted electricity whilst upgrading the main Low Voltage panel from 600A to 1600A and liaising with UK Power Network to upgrade the incoming supply to 900KVA. 

The car park was then put back into operation, with full landscaping of flower beds, re-tarmacking of the 24 car parking spaces, to include placing thermoplastic line painting and custom EV car charging legends for the 24 bays. 

The project was completed on time and budget with no unplanned electrical outages for KIA UK HQ in Walton on Thames.
