The Client’s Challenge

The homeowner was looking for a reliable home EV charging solution that offered a premium finish while keeping the walls around the garage door clean and uncluttered. They were keen to avoid bulky hardware or visible cabling that could detract from the appearance of the property.

Alongside aesthetics, the client wanted reassurance that the installation would be safe, fully compliant, and future-proof — all without unnecessary disruption or exposed wiring around the exterior of the home.

Our Solution

To meet the client’s priorities, we supplied the Andersen Quartz EV charger, chosen for its sleek aluminium enclosure and customisable finish, allowing it to blend seamlessly with the property’s exterior.

The installation was carefully designed to prioritise neatness and longevity, with concealed cable routing, full electrical compliance, and smart charging functionality configured to suit the client’s usage patterns and energy tariff.

Installation & Delivery

The electricity supply to the property was safely isolated before installing a new consumer unit with surge protection was then fitted, including a dedicated bi-directional 40A Type A RCBO to supply the EV charger.

To keep cabling completely out of sight, the supply was routed internally within wall voids. The cable then passed through a small, discreet utility gas meter cupboard before entering the Andersen Quartz unit from the rear, ensuring cable visibility was kept to an absolute minimum.

All works were completed with care, precision, and minimal disruption to the property.
