To supply high levels of customer service and superior problem-solving skills across London and surrounding Counties, whilst delivering expert electrical installation, testing and maintenance services to residential and commercial premises. 

To include Solar PV/battery, EV charging, electrical distribution, power, lighting, controls, networking, and IOT equipment.

To also adhere to all H&S, electrical regulations and good working practices.

Job context and dimensions

  • To work with team members and clients to carry out minor and complex problem solving, whilst ensuring the client and the team are kept abreast of progress and cost.
  • To manage client and team member expectations in a friendly and approachable way
  • To carry out electrical work of all types in domestic and commercial buildings and be fully conversant with all aspects of electrical installation works for ELV and LV systems. 
  • To carry out fault finding in a logical and safe way to ensure the fault is correctly identified without any doubt or with all variables highlighted and discussed. 
  • To certify your own work by issuing Electrical Installations Certificates and Minor Works as required on the completion of work. Certificates to be issued to the office within 24 hours of the work being completed. 
  • To carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports, managing the site in a safe manner. 
  • Ensure customers are given a brief summary on completion of all works.
  • A full written report including quotes for any repairs, detailing labour and material requirements should be issued to the office with 24 hours of work completion. 
  • To complete other forms of electrical certification as may be appropriate (i.e. fire alarms, emergency lighting, PATs).
  • To complete all certificates using the NICEIC website package, or any package that the company supplies.
  • To undertake associated mutli-trade duties such as making good of ceilings, floors or walls following electrical work and to complete minor general plumbing (as needed within your capabilities)
  • To work with your Line Manager to provide sound advice and information relating to technical matters to the customer and office as required. 
  • To ensure all paperwork, job/timesheets and certification is completed and recorded in CRM and NICEIC website as required. 
  • To ensure Tradify App’s are used fully, to record information from jobs and quotes. Including travel time and onsite times, before and after photos were appropriate and customer signatures.
  • To ensure all health and safety standards are adhered too.  Including but not limited to pre-work audit and company supplied Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS)
  • To liaise with the office and your Line Manger to ensure time is available to fulfil your duties.
  • To be prepared and happy to apply skills in new areas and expand knowledge. Including but not limited to; Lighting control systems, Fire alarms, Security Alarms, Home automation, Networking and AV.

Organisation chart:

This role reports directly to your line manager Paul Davis.

Day to day items such as scheduling, job details and non-grievance items should be direct to the office first unless considered an emergency.

Knowledge and skills

Formal qualifications

  • City & Guilds Level 3 and/or NVQ level 3 in electrical installation or equivalent.
  • Preferably to hold or be working to C&G 2391

Experience

  • Previous Electrical experience in Domestic, commercial installations. Including installation, fault finding and testing of single and three phase systems.
  • Valid Driver’s Licence
