The Client’s Challenge

They were concerned that a standard wall-mounted charger, combined with exposed cabling, would detract from the clean lines and overall appearance of their home.

In addition to aesthetics, the client wanted reassurance that the charger would offer smart functionality, long-term durability, and seamless day-to-day use — without compromising on design.

Our Solution

After discussing the client’s priorities, we recommended the Andersen A2 EV charger, a premium unit known for its integrated cable storage, compact footprint, and high-quality finish.

This model allowed the charging cable to be fully concealed when not in use, helping the charger blend discreetly into the property’s exterior. The installation was carefully designed to ensure compliance with current electrical regulations while optimising the charger’s smart features to suit the client’s charging habits and energy tariff.

Installation & Delivery

A new dedicated radial supply was installed from the existing consumer unit to feed the Andersen A2 charger, positioned at the front corner of the property in line with the client’s preference.

The cable was routed internally through a cupboard before passing through the wall and running neatly at low level beneath the external insulation, minimising visual impact around the property. As surge protection and a Type A RCD were already present within the consumer unit, no additional protective devices were required.

All works were completed efficiently, with care taken to minimise disruption and maintain a tidy, professional finish throughout.
